Raking light

This is a photographic technique that involves the use of a unidirectional beam of light at an angle equal to or greater than 80° to the normal of the surface. This provides information on the technique and the state of conservation of the artefact thanks to a photographic result that highlights the three-dimensional appearance of the surface.
