Furnishings, weapons, liturgical objects, lamps, sculptures, clocks, contemporary art and design: many ancient and modern objects belong to these categories. Most of these belong to the extensive and complex group of applied arts, i.e. those forms of expression whose creative process is not an end in itself but aimed at the creation of objects for use and decoration.
